Editorial Review

Every page on Lipedema Help is reviewed by a second member of the editorial team before publication. Editors check that every claim cites a named source, that uncertainty is labelled honestly, and that no content implies clinical expertise the team does not have.

Our editorial oversight process

Lipedema Help uses a two-stage editorial process: one team member writes; a second reviews before publication. The reviewer is responsible for checking the accuracy of every source citation, the honesty of any uncertainty language, and the absence of any claim that exceeds the team's non-clinical expertise.

We are not physicians

Our editorial team are informed non-clinicians. Editorial review is a quality and accuracy check, not a clinical peer review. We do not imply medical oversight we do not have.

What editors check

  • Every factual claim traces to a cited, linked primary source.
  • Claims accurately reflect what the source says — no overstating the evidence.
  • Uncertainty is presented honestly.
  • No content implies diagnosis or prescribes treatment.
  • Disclaimers are present where required.
  • Internal links are correct and outbound links are live.

Named editors

Named individual editor bios — with role descriptions and verifiable identity information — will be added to this page as the team grows. Until then, editorial oversight is attributed to the Lipedema Help editorial team.
