Accessibility Statement
Lipedema Help is committed to making our content accessible to everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards across the site. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — we take every report seriously.
Our commitment
We believe everyone should be able to access clear information about lipedema, regardless of disability or assistive technology. We design and build Lipedema Help with accessibility in mind from the start.
Our target standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We do not claim perfect compliance — accessibility is an ongoing process — but we treat every identified issue as a bug to fix.
Measures we take
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element (links, buttons, form fields) is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
- Colour contrast — text meets the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text). We do not rely on colour alone to convey information.
- Screen reader support — pages use semantic HTML with proper heading structure, ARIA labels where needed, and descriptive link text.
- Images — all informational images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images have empty alt attributes.
- Responsive design — content is readable and usable at 320 px width and at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Focus indicators — visible focus styles are present on all interactive elements.
- Forms — all form fields have associated labels; error messages are descriptive and linked to the relevant field.
Known limitations
We are aware that some embedded third-party content (such as external videos) may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We work to provide text alternatives where possible and will update this statement as issues are resolved.
